Ya Kun Kaya Toast is one of the popular chains of kopitiams in Singapore and other parts of Asia. Just like a typical kopitiam, Ya Kun Kaya Toast offers coffee, tea, other beverages kaya toast, and soft boiled eggs. The first branch of Ya Kun Kaya Toast in the Philippines is in Ninoy Aquino International Airport 2 while the second branch is located along Escriva Drive in Pasig City.
While the rest of the group ordered Yin Yang (half tea and half coffee), I chose to have Milo Dinosaur as a drink. Milo Dinosaur is an iced Milo drink topped with a spoonful of Milo powder. I wonder how Milo Dinosaur got its name. I’ve been trying to search online about it. 😀
We were able to try all of their Kaya toasts (toast served with coconut egg jam) and my favorites are: French toast, Cheezy French Toast, Regular Kaya Toast and the Milo Toast.
Soft boiled eggs go well with their Kaya Toast. But before you dip your toast in a bowl of soft boiled eggs, you must put some soy sauce on it. 😀 You can also check out this YouTube video clip.
If you like to have some kaya and toast at home, then you could buy a bottled Kaya from them. 😀
