Me and Sha were able to embark on a pizza adventure at California Pizza Kitchen and we certainly deviated from the usual pepperoni and New York style pizzas. The CPK Pizza experience is like a merge of different cultures and different tastes. Aside from the pizza adventure, what has been a challenge to me is the pizza making itself.

In the event, we shared the table with Regnard and his better half and also with guys from Chicken Mafia.
Sesame Ginger Chicken Dumplings
Herb Onion Foccacia with Checca
Before making our own pizza, we had some appetizer first. We had a tortilla spring roll which consists of the Baja Chicken and the Thai Chicken. We also had sesame ginger chicken dumplings that goes with a mild soy-ginger chili sauce. In addition, we had a herb onion foccacia with checca.
Pizza making time
If you think that pizza making is just about dumping the ingredients (that is, if there’s a pizza dough ready for you) on the pizza dough, you’re wrong. I chose to make the Goat Cheese Pizza and as you can see, it’s not perfect. The goat cheese was not spread evenly. It kept on sticking to the plastic gloves that we used.

After me, Sha made a Jamaican Jerk Pizza. I was able to grab a bite of this pizza and its level of spiciness is just right. Sha was able to taste the Mango Tandoori Pizza that Regnard chose and prepared. 😀
