One of the things that I’ve been looking forward to do in Singapore is to eat in Clarke Quay. We really didn’t have anything on mind where to eat. We just explored around Clarke Quay and we’ve found King Satay interesting upon checking their menu.
Of course, we ordered their assorted satay which consists of chicken, beef and mutton skewers and are served with Ketupat (rice cakes), onions, cucumbers and the peanut sauce. They won’t be called King Satay if their satay isn’t good right? 😀
Then, Miko suggested that we should try cereal prawns. It was our first time to try cereal prawns and I really didn’t know what to expect. When our order of cereal prawns arrived, I was excited to try it. It’s a bit sweet and spicy at the same time. I also like the fact that they served really big prawns instead of the smaller shrimps.
The fried rice that we has too much flavor. I would have wanted a plain rice since it should go well with the dishes above. I guess it is a good thing that our order of Assorted Satay was served with Ketupat (rice cakes).
While we were dining outside, we enjoyed the widescreen LCD TV watching F1 racing. 😀 The ambiance outside the restaurant reminds me of Eastwood.
Even though it’s a bit expensive in King Satay, I would say that the price is worth it because of the quality of the food and the location of the restaurant and its ambiance.
