Since there are a few stores open during Holy Week (most especially on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday), the ideal place to meet is a 24-hour McDonald’s store. This morning, I was supposed to meet with other bloggers but I still went to McDonald’s to buy my breakfast and lunch.
I arrived at McDonald’s Greenbelt 1 branch at around 10:00am. It’s a 24-hour store with drive-thru. If you have a car with you and you’d like to buy some food first before getting stuck on the road for a couple of hours, the McDonald’s drive-thru is perfect. For instance, if you are going to Batangas, Quezon, Bicol, or Laguna, you may drive-thru at the McDonald’s Petron along South Luzon Expressway. For a complete list of drive-thru stores and 24-hour stores, please go to this link. This branch is good for stopovers as well.
At 10:00am, their menu for breakfast was still there and I was not really expecting it because I was looking forward to order a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and a small French Fries. I was not sure if the Filet-O-Fish was already available. Thus, I asked the cashier if I could order it. Good thing, it’s already available. Since the breakfast menu was still up, I decided to add a Big Breakfast because I don’t always get to have breakfast at McDonald’s. In addition, I’d like to have a heavy breakfast as well since I planned to go jogging around the neighborhood in the afternoon.
McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish is a fried filet of fish topped with tartar sauce and cheese sandwiched between a steamed bun. I like having my Filet-O-Fish with McDonald’s French Fries. I prefer not to have the value meal though since I do not drink softdrinks. McDonald’s also offers other drinks such as Iced Tea, Pineapple Juice and Orange Juice. You may order them if you don’t like the softdrinks.
How about you, what do you love to order at McDonald’s?
