Johnny Rockets is an international food chain specializing in hamburgers, sandwiches and floats. The first branch of Johnny Rockets in Manila opened in Eastwood. Finally, they opened a branch in Tomas Morato which is a lot nearer. 😀

What I noticed about Johnny Rockets is its lively and friendly atmosphere and as well as its American 50’s inspired theme. Expect to be entertained while dining at Johnny Rockets. If I’m not mistaken, they have short dance numbers every 15 minutes. 😀

Sha ordered for a Bacon Single Cheddar with unlimited french fries and I ordered for a Philly Cheese Steak with side salad and balsamic vinegar as a dressing. Sha also ordered for a root beer float.

The Bacon Cheddar Single is a 1/3 pound burger made of 100% pure beef topped with huge slices of bacon, a slice of cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of onion and Johnny Rockets’ special sauce. Sha was only able to finish about 2/3s of the burger. 😀 According to Sha, the patty is thick yet tender and juicy but it’s not as tasty as the burgers in The Burger Project.

The Philly Cheese Steak consists of thinly sliced beef with grilled onions and cheese served on a hoagie roll. What I like about it is that it is sliced in half because it is big and I would really have a hard time eating if it wasn’t. In addition, I won’t able to finish a sandwich that big. Instead of having the french fries as a siding, I decided to get the side salad which consists of lettuce, tomatoes and grated cheese. I chose balsamic vinegar as a dressing for my salad. I like the fact that I can choose a siding. The side salad isn’t really exciting as the main dish but I’m glad that the choice of dressing is not limited. What I loved about the Philly Cheese Steak is the tenderness of the beef. By the way, you can also add additional grilled bell peppers and onions for 50 pesos.

The experience at Johnny Rockets won’t be complete without trying either a shake or their root beer float. Sha ordered the Root beer Float. She wishes that it was A&W, it was just Sarsi but anyway, it’s okay. It wasn’t that cold either.

By the way, here’s a video I took at Johnny Rockets, Tomas Morato branch. 🙂
