@emc2square,
wow, it's good to know that a Malaysian like you appreciated and even think that Malacca's close to authentic. At least, we non-Malaysians would know that this is close to the real thing. I am just curious, if this is the best Malaysian restaurant you've been here in the Philippines? We're not the owners by the way, we just wanted to know where we can also have Malaysian food.

I am a Malaysian and decided to try out the food at Malacca along Jupiter Street with my non Malaysian friends. We had ordered 'Char Koay Teow' (Fried flat noodle), 'Hainanese Chicken', 'Rojak' (Fruit salad), Ais Kacang (Halox2), Onde Onde (local sweet delicacy), and Teh Tarik (pull tea). Among, all the dishes, I found the Char Koay Teow was really yummy, mainly because it has been cooked under a very hot Wok, and it has that important aroma when cooking this particular dish. This follow by Onde Onde, as I have never tried it when it was warm. Since it was warm, the pastry was soft and the palm sugar filled inside looked juicy. The Hainanese Chicken was not bad, but I prefer if the rice could be made with more garlic/ginger and served warmer. Rojak was good and my friends loved it. Teh tarik was pretty authentic for me and I had it less sweet. Overall, we have a good dinner and I will go back to try out the other dishes!
