Singapore Chicken Rice

Singapore Chicken Rice
White Chicken Rice, 95 pesos per order

Amidst the busy streets of Cubao, you’ll get to taste White Chicken Rice which is often referred to as the national dish of Singapore. The name of the restaurant is derived from the name of the dish.

White Chicken Rice (the dish) is also referred to as Hainanese Chicken Rice. The said dish originated from Hainan, China. However, it is usually associated with Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine.

For the price of 95 pesos, the serving size and the quality of the food is worth it. The rice served with the chicken is rich in flavor. This is because chicken broth was used in cooking the rice instead of the way we are accustomed to how it’s being cooked.

Nasi Lemak (rice cooked in cream) is a common Malaysian dish. In this restaurant, Nasi Lemak comes with dried anchovies (dilis), slices of cucumber, sambal sauce, peanuts and egg. If you plan to order Nasi Lemak and if it is your first time, be sure to mix everything first before eating it. ;)

ok naman. one of the ok restaurants na kainan around Cubao area na hindi Jollibee, Mcdo or KFC at hindi rin mahal tulad ng Bellini’s. Whenever I’m in Cubao, I go there kasi ok naman ang food nila. Though do not expect it to be super sarap sarap to the nth level.

Naku hilig ko pa naman chicken rice sa singapore hawker. Pati yung brown colored chicken nila (marinated in soy sauce I think). Hindi super sarap? Sige masubukan nga. Salamat sa info!
