Hmmm. Competitive eating. That’s very interesting. I’ve always seen it done in Hollywood movies when the lead returns to his hometown to join the state fair and compete with locals in eating, say, corn. Here, it’s hotdog, I guess, courtesy of 7-11. Do we have a balut eating contest in the provinces?
I believe there are already balut eating contests in pateros. That’s the balut capital of the Philippines right?
What happened to this contest? Bakit hindi nila tinuloy? Could the choking death on one of 7-11’s branches as a result of this contest had something to do with it?
What’s gonna happen to the dozen or so paid blog hacks for this event? Are they going to write about the reason for not continuing this contest?

The finals was postponed last Sept 26 because of the heavy rains of Ondoy. There isn’t any date yet on when the finals will happen.
