I guess some of you went to an easter egg hunt. I, myself have experienced it a long time ago. I also made one too. I’ve found this picture on Flickr which I find very timely since the easter egg decoration is creative. It does not stick to the usual easter egg decoration using dyes.

Its history dates back to the ancient times where Persians paints eggs for Nowrooz (their New Year celebration. Nowrooz is being celebrated during spring. However, the word easter comes from a germanic word Eostre.

The easter egg tradition is speculated to have started in the West, after Lent since egg symbolizes New Life.
