Binondo Food Tour Series #4: Wai Ying Fastfood
Because Dong Bei was closed in during our visit to Binondo last Black Saturday, we went to Wai Ying Fastfood to eat some dumplings. Me and Karla had some Hakaw and Shrimp Chong Fan. This was actually our first time to eat there and surprisingly, the dimsum were really cheap.
Not all restaurants have Chong Fan, so when I saw the other table with this, I immediately asked the waiter for an order. The last time I had this was ages ago and I think that was in Gloria Maris Wilson. Chong Fan is actually steamed flat noodles with some filling inside (like for this one, it has shrimps inside it). The light soy sauce – sugar mixture compliments the bland taste of steamed flat noodles.
Of course, nothing can go wrong with Hakaw unless it was over-steamed. This is the cheapest Hakaw I’ve ever eaten in my entire life.
I love Milk Teas so I ordered this one. I can definitely say that this is real tea, combined with milk. Yum! It’s very refreshing.
I definitely loved Wai Ying and will be coming back there. If you’ve eaten there before, why not click on “like” in their Facebook page?

this place has fallen in standards but still wuite okay because of its cheap price
I’ve always wanted to do food trip in Binondo.
I’ve tried this place 3x. My first time to try machang (tama nga ba). Even their mami is good. There’s this place nearby “Lan Zhou La Mien” if you’re into noodle trip.
Just ate there yesterday. It’s one of our food stops when I’m around the area.
