Before we arrived at the restaurant, we were thinking as to why it was called Bigby’s. I hunched that maybe it’s because they have big servings of their food. Well, to our surprise the servings indeed are enough for 2-3 people to share. It was only the 2 of us who went there so it was really a struggle for us to taste the house specialties.
Just a little background, Bigby’s isn’t really new in the restaurant scene. It actually originated in Cagayan de Oro (1999) then opened branches in Cebu, Davao, Bacolod. The branch in Manila is their newest branch and has been earning raves about this newbie in town. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels like Indiana Jones or something like that so when you go there, you will have the “worldly” feeling of food tripping. Their staff complements the atmosphere by wearing brown explorer shorts and shirt with high socks.

Tijuana Quesadilla (Combination of Beef and Chicken) 1/2 @ Php 165
There were a lot of food in the menu and we really didn’t know where to start. Good thing is our friendly server (or I think he’s the manager
) suggested some specialty and best seller dishes and we weren’t disappointed on the dishes he suggested to us. For our appetizer, we ordered Tijuana Quesadilla. You can choose from different fillings for their quesadilla: chicken, beef, combination or plain cheese. Our server suggested to get the combination as it tastes much better than the others. I liked the quesadilla because it is very tasty and the fillings are just enough. I loved the salsa! I could taste the cilantro and the plumpness of the tomatoes. Karla and I were talking that a whole quesadilla would probably make us full at once so good thing that we ordered half only. Continue reading →

Thai Green Mango Salad @ Php 115
This is the 3rd round of pigging out during our Plurk Lakbayan 08 in Tagaytay. This pit stop was supposed to be the 4th stop because we were supposed to have bulalo first at Leslie’s in Tagaytay but due to unfortunate events, we were not able to have our bulalo thus Kanin Club became our 3rd pit stop
.
I believe Juned already ordered for everyone so each table has all of these dishes. If you’re gonna search other bloggers who were part of this, you’ll probably see different shots and angles of the dishes here hehe. So for our appetizer, he chose Thai Green Mango Salad. I immediately fell in love with this appetizer because the green mangoes are not that sour. The taste of cilantro, peanuts and lime juice are easily noticed when you taste this dish. There is a balance of sweet and sour (not in a sweet and sour pork way
) and this would really appetize your gastronomic cravings. Continue reading →

Hyderabad Biryani @Php 180
SM Megamall has just recently opened its Atrium and in it are lots of interesting restaurants to choose from and one of which is Kebab Factory. The Atrium is their first restaurant and will probably open other branches in the near future. At that time, they were still in their soft opening so the restaurant looks pretty simple. The place does not look like Persian at all unlike the other Persian restaurants we’ve been to like Mister Kabab, Ziggurat and many others. The common colors are white and yellow and the waitresses/waiters do not look Persian at all (meaning their uniforms
).
We ordered 3 dishes: Hyderabad Biryani, Beef Kebab and Motabal with Pita Bread. The Hyderabad Biryani tastes great. I could really taste (and smell) the spices and you could really see the brightness of it. The brass bowl also compliments the Persian feel of it. Continue reading →
No, it isn’t a disease (because it sounds like beri-beri) but this is one of the best places to go to when you’re at the Promenade Mall in Greenhills. The place was just actually newly renovated just August of this year and was previously named as Peri-Peri.

Php 230 per order
For our appetizer, we ordered Fish and Chips. I must say that this is one of the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever tasted. It is actually coated with beer batter and served with tangy tartar sauce. Continue reading →

Sumiyaki Coffee Jelly
We were invited weeks ago to a coffee tasting brunch in the newly opened UCC Cafe Terrace in Trinoma. Some food bloggers were there such as: Noemi, Prudence, Tin, Robin and Nina ( and we enjoyed the food and taking pictures as well!
) I apologize that it took me awhile to blog about this, been busy and been sick as well ( I need full concentration to write this
). Continue reading →
