Sometimes, we take for granted that Filipino cuisine consists of a variety of flavors. Since it’s homegrown, we sometimes neglect that there is so much more to explore in Filipino cuisine. Take for example, the new restaurant in Tomas Morato called Amano serves Southern Luzon cuisine. The interesting part is that they fused the dishes and made it into one whole unique dish. Chef Ilan Hall
Top Chef is a popular television show in cable television right now and last season’s winner (Season 2), Ilan Hall, was here in Manila last March 28, 2009. He was joined by two other chefs namely Dale Talde (Top Chef Season 2 contestant) and Roland Laudico (one of Manila’s celebrated chefs). The event was organized by Ayala Malls.
