Dessert is a course that typically comes at the end of a meal, usually consisting of sweet food. It could be a cake, an ice cream, a fruit salad, etc.

Caffe Ti Amo is the newest gelateria (gelato + cafeteria) that arrived here in the Philippines. The brand came from Korea and is partly owned by Jollibee Foods Corp. We were recently invited to grace its opening a few weeks ago. Their very first store is at the ground floor of SM Annex and will soon be opening at the Fort.

Pralines
Just like wines, chocolates also have a hierarchy and variety of types which you may distinguish from another. There are Belgian, Spanish, Italian, American and many more. Many people say that Swiss Chocolates are the “highest” among all the others in the world. If you’re going to ask my opinion, I like Swiss chocolates more than Belgian chocolates. Polvoron is a Filipino dessert that is made up of toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar and melted butter. I like polvoron that is compact and that is not too sweet.
I love the polvoron from HOP. My favorite polvoron variant from HOP is the pinipig. Their other polvoron variants are: Classic, Pili, Cashew and Cookies and Cream. Even though the other variants are good, pinipig has been my all-time favorite.
A box (18 pieces) of each polvoron variant costs 100 pesos while a box of assorted polvoron (20 pieces) is being sold at 108 pesos. If you’re having a hard time choosing which polvoron variant you would try, I suggest that you get the assorted so that you could also try the other variants.

While walking in Greenbelt 1, I came across my St. Scho friend, Isa, and recommended me to try Qoola since she knows that I blog about food. I had a taste of her Green Tea yogurt ice cream from Qoola so I rushed my way to taste this newest yogurt ice cream sensation. Continue reading →
