Our first stop of our food tripping in Laoag began in Saramsam Ylocano Restaurant. I was very eager to dine at this restaurant because of its popularity among gourmands. They also serve local Ilocano cuisine but they have created a buzz because their Ilocano – Western fusion dishes.
We went there on two separate instances so that we will be able to taste more of their dishes. Although food from this restaurant can be ordered from Balay da Blas, we still go to the restaurant because of the ambiance and food presentation. By the way, the restaurant and the pension house we stayed are owned by the same person, Mr. Samuel Blas. Sometimes when we go out for lunch or dinner with my parents and siblings on a weekend, we’d go to The Fort and eat at Zong. We love eating at Zong because of the good food and it’s reasonably priced.
When I received the invitation from Zong to try out some new dishes, I didn’t hesitate at all.

El Ideal is a bakery and a restaurant in Silay City, Negros Occidental. El Ideal has been delighting Negrenses and tourists since the 1920s. Before, El Ideal was only a bakery, it was only in the late 1950′s when the restaurant was added. El Ideal has been known for its Guapple Pie which is said to be their specialty. Continue reading →
