We went to Chilli’s at Greenbelt 1 to “baptize” Sha’s Chilli’s experience and if you haven’t been there yet (because there are only three branches in Metro Manila), you’ll get acquainted virtually with what Chilli’s has to offer by reading this. Continue reading →

Paella
Prior to dining at Pizza Hut Bistro, I was already intrigued by how’s the menu offering different from the regular Pizza Hut. Upon entering the restaurant at Gateway, I was impressed with the ambiance. The restaurant has a set of mood lights and much larger tables covered with cloth. On top of a table is a vase with an anthurium which made me think of funerals. Continue reading →
Since it’s Mother’s Day, I decided to treat my mom for dinner in this restaurant that we are so familiar with. This was the place where my mom and dad used to date ( of course before I was born) and until I was growing up we frequent to this steak house whenever we are craving for steaks.
Alfredo’s Steak house has been one of the “institutions” in the steak industry in Manila. It doesn’t have any branches, probably they want to maintain the quality of their food. As you know, when restaurants expand the quality of food tend to deteriorate. They are situated along Tomas Morato, QC. They have a big red sign on top of the restaurant, you wouldn’t miss that. The dining area is in the 2nd floor. Continue reading →
The Chocolate Kiss Cafe is located at the Bahay ng Alumni ( R. Magsaysay St.) in UP Diliman, (first and second floor of the building). The difference between the 2 is that in the first floor, it is located outside the Bahay ng Alumni and closes early while the second floor is a more of a “date place” because there are performers in the evening thrice a week ( acoustic, piano/ guitar solo, etc..). The Chocolate Kiss Cafe opened in 1997, the second floor resto was the first then they opened the first floor area. Now they have their third branch, still in QC which is in Roces Ave ( in Pantranco). Continue reading →

Krispy Kreme will open in Ayala this March. Sharlyne, who wrote a pledge of her love for the doughnuts, saw the sign already.
Here’s the official announcement from the Krispy Kreme Philippines website:

All our friends around Makati City will surely be closer to their favorite Original Glazed and a full line of assorted doughnuts. You can also try our Signature Coffees and espresso based beverages - hot, iced or frozen, they’re perfect partners for our doughnuts.
For those who are just working around Jaka Building, you might want to line up on the opening day.

Double Chocolate Fudgy Brownie at Friday’s consists of three towers of brownies topped with vanilla ice cream, peanuts (pecan), and chocolate and caramel syrup. This is certainly the best dessert that I’ve eaten and if you haven’t tried this yet, you are certainly missing half of your life. This dessert though is not recommended for people suffering under diabetes.
