Alfredo’s Steak house in Tomas Morato, QC
by Sharlyne Ang at May 12th, 2008 — American, Fine Dining
Since it’s Mother’s Day, I decided to treat my mom for dinner in this restaurant that we are so familiar with. This was the place where my mom and dad used to date ( of course before I was born) and until I was growing up we frequent to this steak house whenever we are craving for steaks.
Alfredo’s Steak house has been one of the “institutions” in the steak industry in Manila. It doesn’t have any branches, probably they want to maintain the quality of their food. As you know, when restaurants expand the quality of food tend to deteriorate. They are situated along Tomas Morato, QC. They have a big red sign on top of the restaurant, you wouldn’t miss that. The dining area is in the 2nd floor. Continue reading →
Chocolate Kiss Cafe in UP Diliman
by Sharlyne Ang at May 5th, 2008 — American, Filipino, Italian, Reviews, desserts
The Chocolate Kiss Cafe is located at the Bahay ng Alumni ( R. Magsaysay St.) in UP Diliman, (first and second floor of the building). The difference between the 2 is that in the first floor, it is located outside the Bahay ng Alumni and closes early while the second floor is a more of a “date place” because there are performers in the evening thrice a week ( acoustic, piano/ guitar solo, etc..). The Chocolate Kiss Cafe opened in 1997, the second floor resto was the first then they opened the first floor area. Now they have their third branch, still in QC which is in Roces Ave ( in Pantranco). Continue reading →
