Alcoholic drinks or beverages are divided into three general classes: beers, wines and spirits. Find here what good alcoholic beverages to drink and where you could find them.

Here’s something new to San Miguel Beer fans like me. San Miguel has just launched their set of flavored beers. Do you remember Cali Shandy back in the 90′s? It’s something like that but it has 3% alcohol (Cali doesn’t have alcohol content). This is for people who want to socialize with their beer drinking friends without having the bitter taste of beer. The packaging of their flavored beers is identical with the San Miguel All Malt Premium Beer. Continue reading →

As mentioned in other blog post related to One Tagaytay Place, we were two of the bloggers who were invited to experience staying in One Tagaytay Place recently. We’ve already featured the Mongolian Buffet and Afternoon High Tea in Azalea here in Foodtrippings. So aside from Azalea, One Tagaytay Place also has a resto-bar at the 4th floor, which is the Tower Lounge. The Tower Lounge has a very different ambiance compared to Azalea. The Tower Lounge is a place to chill out, listen to soothing acoustic music and eat delicious and tender steaks. The resto-bar is open to the public, even though you are not a checked-in guest in One Tagaytay Place. Continue reading →
Most recently, Lagnado served as EVP for Unilever’s Savory products.
Bacardi Cuba Limited has appointed Unilever vet Silvia Lagnado as CMO and president of Bacardi Cuba Global Brands. Prior to joining the spirits company, Lagnado spent 24 years at Unilever and architected Dove’s “Campaign for Real Beauty.”
Effective Sept. 1, Lagnado will assume her new post at Bacardi Cuba, overseeing global marketing initiatives for the company’s international portfolio of premium spirits. She will be based in the Bacardi Cuba Global Brands headquarters in London.
Most recently, Lagnado served as evp for Unilever’s Savory products. Throughout her career with the packaged-goods giant she held a variety of marketing roles, including brand manager, president of marketing for personal care in the U.K., and global vp for Dove.
Dove’s ” Campaign for Real Beauty,” which Lagnado created with ad agency Ogilvy & Mather, is highly regarded in the marketing world. It won top prize at the Effie Awards in 2006. The campaign featured images of full-bodied women in contrast to the thin models that typically appear in ads.

Mojito is my most favorite cocktail ever. It is a popular Cuban drink usually made of white rum, sugar cane, sparkling water and mint. What I like with Mojito is the combination of sweetness and citrus taste with a little kick of rum. It is very refreshing and a great way to enjoy it with your family and friends. I found a simple Mojito recipe in the Yummy Magazine December issue and decided to have this as our cocktail drink for our New Year’s celebration.
What you will be needing are fresh basil leaves, white rhum and white cola.
Then mash the fresh basil leaves so that the flavors will really come out. You can use a spoon to mash the leaves. Place it in a glass then pour in 45 mL of white rum and a splash of white cola. I used Bacardi and Sprite (it’s much sweeter). You can also squeeze a lemon wedge for more flavor.
This can serve only one person so if you will be drinking with a group, just multiply the amount of white rum and adjust the white cola and basil according to your preferred taste.

Classic Mojito ( Php 165)
Mojito is a refreshing Cuban drink. It’s a mixture of white rum, sugar, lime, carbonated water and mint. I usually drink Mojitos when I don’t want to drink beer ( and feel a bit girly I guess
) One place you can have some refreshingly good mojitos is in TGI Friday’s.

Strawberry Mojito ( Php 185)
The Strawberry Mojito is also a must try at Friday’s. It’s a bit sweet but stil has the Classic Mojito kick. It’s good that Friday’s serve it in a medium-tall glass so it’s worth your money.
